Sammi has worked with horses for 20+ years, most of those years spent on the back of horse, trying to learn everything she can. While she focuses primarily on dressage, Sammi has a strong background in hunter-jumpers and often incorporates cross-training into her program as she believes it benefits the horses.

Sammi brought along her first horse, Fay, from a four year old with an attitude problem to a PSG horse and now, a lovable schoolmaster, all while balancing the demands of earning her degrees from Georgia Tech. While she tried her hand at the corporate world, nothing compared to her love for horses and she eventually made the switch, spending two years working under gold medalist and CDI rider, Charlotte Osborne. While working for Charlotte, she spent time developing her own young horse, Mika, earning multiple scores in the upper 60s & 70s throughout their time as a partnership. Sammi is also a proud recipient of the USDF Bronze and Silver Medal, underscoring her commitment to excellence in dressage.

Now, she runs her own operation here at 22 Karat Sport Horses, in partnership with Ponderosa Farm. The partnership brings in high quality horses to train and develop for sale. Sammi continues to develop herself as a rider, training with prominent riders such as Bent Jensen, Steffen Peters, Gareth Hughes, Shelley Francis, and JJ Tate.
